Abstract

PURPOSE: To shorten the time of drying by a method in which an ultraviolet-ray source is placed at one focus inside an oval cylinder whose inner surface is a mirror face and a coated wire is place at the other focus in such a way that the irradiation of ultravillet rays is performed by one light source without leaving any shadow in the circumference of the wire.
CONSTITUTION: In an oval cylinder whose inner surface is the mirror face 1, the ultraviolet-ray source 2 is placed at the first focus point 2 and also an ultraviolet ray-dryable ink or a paint-coated wire or bar 12' is passed through the second focus point 3. Light radiated from the first focus point 2 is collected at the second focus point 3 from every direction and thereby ultraviolet rays radiated from the light source at the first focus point are irradiated onto the wire placed at the second focus point 3 from every direction.
