Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect water content adsorbed in adsorbent layer in production of water from atmospheric humidity by a method wherein detection is made on the deformation amount of spring that supports adsorbent layer or on the displacement amount of the adsorbent layer to occur in accordance with spring deformation.
CONSTITUTION: When the amount of water adsorbed by adsorbent layer 1a is increased, the weight of the layer 1a increases and compresses spring 103, and at the same time the layer 1a is displaced. This makes open the circuit at the side of lamp 108 and supply 110 of the specified-displacement detection circuit 111. When the adsorbed water content further increases, corresponding layer 1a displacement causes contact lever 104 attached to the layer 1a to touch a contact lever 105. This makes close of the circuit at the side of lamp 107 and supply 109 of the detection circuit 111 and causes the lamp 107 to light, indicating that adsorption is completed. As a result, an optimum time for switching processes of adsorption and desorption is given, thereby to enhance water making efficiency.
