Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the construction of an ignition device by using transistors to make actions of electrical switching and supplying current to an ignition coil to add an ignition voltage to an ignition plug.
CONSTITUTION: When a transistor 7 of Darlington connection is on, the output of the generating coil 20 of a magnetogenerator 10 is short-circuited, and when the transistor is off for igniting an internal combustion engine, the output is added to a primary side 40P of an ignition coil 40 at an instant, and a high voltage is induced on a secondary side 40S to spark an ignition plug 50. The output of a battery 8 is supplied to the transistor 7 via a resistance 9 for switching on. The output of the battery 8 supplied to the transistor 7 is short-circuited for igniting the internal combustion engine by a transistor 11 to be switched on by the output of a generating coil 13 for the detection of ignition timing.
