Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for the deflection system of a beam of electrons by guiding the electron beams emitted from a cathode into the tri-electrode system consisting of the first, second, the third grids and varying the electrode length of the second grid. After that, an angle of emanation increases and the larger over-focussed light emitting spot D3 is obtained on the fluorescent screen. By varying the axial length l0 of the second gride electrode, the necessary light emitting spot diameter can be obtained on the fluorescent screen without decreasing the voltage of the fuoresent screen.
