Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the mold of even high packing density and strong binding power by packing the molding sand which has viscosity in a normal state and is added with binders into a mold, and instantaneously flowing gas in the direction of increasing the packing density of the molding sand through the inside of the molding sand.
CONSTITUTION: The molding sand added with inorganic or organic binders is packed in a mold and gas such as air is passed in the molding sand and is instantaneoulsy flowed toward pattern surface and molding plate surface in the direction of increasing the packing density of the molding sand. In this case, gas is instantaneously sucked from, e.g., the inner side of the packed molding sand to the outer side, by which the pressure in the spacings between the mold surface and sand and between the sand and sand is made negative and the sand is attracted in the direction where the spacings decrease. This results in the increased friction force among the sand particles and the well binding with binders among the particles by pressing force.
