Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the captioned stabilized device that has an ink-impregnated material wherein an equivalent capillary force becomes a specified pressure in an ink-supplying system and that is freed from the factors of instability in the ink- supplying system of an ink-on-demand type apparatus. CONSTITUTION:In order to prevent the flow-out of ink and the flow-in of air by setting the internal pressure of the part of a nozzle 6 in the range of about 0-60cm H2O based on the atmospheric pressure, the capillary force of an ink tank 1 and an ink-impregnated material 3 is stabilized in such a condition that it produces the pressure of 0-70cm H2O approximately. The difference in height H may take the value of about + or -10cm based on the level of the nozzle. A tube 4 containing the ink- impregnated material is effective for easing the fluctuation of pressure caused by an abrupt removal of the tube 4.
