Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of an electrode plate and make its manufacture easier, by filling a paste in a spacing between thin plates made of lead or a lead alloy are forming needle-like apertures through the thin plates to push the thin walls into the paste. After pressing the paste-filled electrode plates by means of pressing rolls 5, the thickness of the electrode plate is adjusted by rolls 6 arranged to adjust the thickness.
