Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to enlarge a threshold margin by using the phase synchronizing loop with an AM modulating function added. CONSTITUTION:An FM wave is input to multiplier 9, and the output is branched and is supplied to adder 16 through LPF10, buffer 11 and level adjusting equipment 15. In adder 16, the output above is added to the output of voltage control oscillating circuit 13 and is supplied to multiplier 9 and is multiplied, and the converted AM wave is output through BPF17 at terminal 8. The output of buffer amplifier 11 is supplied to loop filter 12, and oscillator 13 is controlled by the output. Thus, the threshold margin can be enlarged and a good-characteristic FM.AM direct converter can be obtained by adding the AM modulating function to the phase synchronizing loop.
