Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the welding efficiency and obtain welded part of high quality, by feeding two wires with the end parts being mutually opposed with respect to the arc central axis, and melting the wire with an arc fired between nonconsumable electrode and the wire.
CONSTITUTION: An arc 7 is fired between a base metal 1 and a nonconsumable electrode 4, and two filler wires 11a, 11b are disposed on the central axis of the arc 7 with the end parts mutually opposed. While injecting inert gas 8 from a nozzle 9, the wires 11a, 11b are melted by the arc 16 fired between the nonconsumable electrode arc 7 and wires 11a, 11b to perform welding. As a result of this, the melting speed of the wires 11a, 11b is greatly increased, and the quantity of deposition on the base metal 1 is about five times larger than in the conventional method, and excellent uniform penetration may be obtained as the arc 16 occurring between the wires acts as cushion. Thus, the welded part excelling in quality may be obtained.
