Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a magnet of large coercive force and maximum energy product by adding SiO2, Al2O3, CaO, in specified weight %, to an oxide compound magnet consisting of MO.nFe2O3 (M indicates one kind or more of Sr, Ba and Pb; and n indicates 5.0-6.0). CONSTITUTION:By adding SiO2, 0.10-20wt%, Al2O3, 0.05-20wt%, CaO, 0.5- 20wt%, to an oxide compound magnet consisting of MO.nFe2O3 (M indicates one kind or more of Sr, Ba and Pb; and n indicates 5.0-6.0), a ferrite magnet is formed. The reason why such specifications are made is that when SiO2 is less than the specified amount, the coercive force is lowered; and when it is above, the residual magnetic flux density is lowered. Also, when Al2O3 is less than the specified amount, the coercive force is lowered, and when it is above, the strength is weakened. Further, with regard to CaO, the magnetic flux density becomes maximum at the specified amount, and thereby a magnet of good characteristics for use in rotary machines can be obtained.
