Abstract
PURPOSE: To accurately and automatically detect the position of hole in a printed board by using four photosensors two of which are arranged in the direction of X-axis and the remaining two of which are arranged in the direction of Y-axis.
CONSTITUTION: An X-axis motor and a Y-axis motor are driven to locate a hole 17 in a printed board 9 placed on a table to the center of a picture frame while observing a monitor picture, to memorize the hole number in a memory provided in this measuring apparatus. The light from a light source 10 is focused by a lens 15. An optical image of the hole 17 is received by four-divided photosensors 12aW 12d. Let PaWPd equal to outputs from the photosensors 12aW12d. The X-axis motor 8x is driven by a control unit 20 such that Px=(Pa+Pb)-(Pc+Pd)=0. The Y-axis motor 8y is also driven such that Py=(Pa+Pc)-(Pb+Pd)=0. The center of the visual fields of the sensors 12aW12d is aligned with the center of the hole 17, and the position is read and memorized by a detector. The above operation is carried out with respect to all of the holes in the printed board. Hole numbers and position coordinates are correspondingly memorized, and the content of the memory is output into a printer to check the same.
