Abstract

PURPOSE: A solvent type oil stabilizer that contains an aqueous water glass as the major ingredient, a dicarboxylic alkyl ester and inorganis salts, thus showing improved gel time and compression strength of the homogel.
CONSTITUTION: The objective soil stabilizer is prepared by adding water to (A) 25W60vol% of aqueous water glass, calculated as 40wt% concentration, (B) 1W 15vol% of a dicarboxylic alkyl ester of the formula (R is methyl, ethyl; n is 0W4) and (C) 1W30vol% of aqueous inorganic salt such as potassium bisulfate or sodium phosphate, calculated as 30wt% concentration, so that the total amount including water becomes 100vol%. The solution A is preferably 2W4 in the molar ratio of SiO2/M2O (M is Na or K) and 30W55wt% in concentration.
USE: Said stabilizer can be injected into fine-particle soil such as sheet layers into which a suspension type stabilizer cannot be injected.
