Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise the insulation resistance and wear resistance of coated film by blowing a combustion gas containing a specific amount of O2 into a baking furnace housed with a coated pipe through a swirl blade-provided burner.
CONSTITUTION: A combustion gas and air for combustion are supplied through the flow regulating valves 10 and 11 and then the swirl blade-provided burner 7 into the baking furnace 1 where temperature is kept at 200W250°C and the concentration of O2 is kept at 16% or more. Then, the coated pipe 2 is continuously inserted into the furnace 1 and passed through the furnace for a given time, where the temperature value measured by the thermometer 12 is compared with the target temperature of the furnace by comparator 13 and according to the signal from the comparator 13, the controller 14 sends forth a command to the driving device 15 to regulate the regulating valve 10. At the same time, the amount of air is calculated from a set air ratio at the air amount calculator 21 on the basis of the flow rate value of combustion gas, measured by the orifice 16, and then the controller 17, in response to the calculated value, gives an indication to the driving device 18 while feeding back the measured value from the orifice 27 in order to control the regulating valve 11.
