Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit the opening and closing conditions of two intake valves to be controlled at a same time and easily by laying a valve lifter between two intake valve head parts and allowing the knocker of a locker arm which is slidable in the axial direction to contact with the valve lifter.
CONSTITUTION: A valve lifter 13 is laid between two intake valve head parts 5 and 7, and on this valve lifter 13, the knocker 41 of the locker arm 23 positioned in free fluctuation and slidably in the axial direction is contacted with the locker shaft 21. Therefore, only by sliding the locker arm 23 along the locker shaft 21, the valve lift of two intake valves can be varied at a same time, so the opening and closing conditions of two intake valves can be controlled at a same time and easily.
