Abstract
PURPOSE: To permit the concurrent collection of Nox and SOx present in gas by the procedure in which ozone gas of a specific ratio or more is injected into a gas containing NOx and SOx for oxidation and then NOx and SOx are arrested by an aqueous absorbing liquor.
CONSTITUTION: To a gas containing NOx and SOx, an ozone-containing oxygen or an ozone-containing air is injected in an ozone ratio ([03]/([NOx]+[SOx]) of more than 20, whereupon NOx and SOx present in gas are oxidized by ozone and then arrested by absorption in an aqueous absorbing liquor. Thus, it is possible to concurrently collect NOx and SOx present in gas and also to concurrently determine them in the absorbing liquor after collection in even lower concentration.
