Abstract

PURPOSE: To correct jitter by controlling rotation of a motor by the horizontal synchronizing signal of a video disc.
CONSTITUTION: Horizontal synchronizing signal 44 is taken out as the output of horizontal synchronizing signal generator 31 from video signals detected by pickup 2. Horizontal synchronizing signal 44 is phase-detected between outputs signals of reference crystal oscillator 6 and frequency divider 7 in phase detector 8. This detection output is always obtained independently of the color burst wave or the white- and-black picture signal and includes time base fluctuation information. Then, by adding the detection output to the jitter servo loop system through adder 32, the jitter servo is controlled continuously to prevent color shading on the screen upper part from being generated.
