Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the ceramic filter for high temperature which may be used directly in high temperature exhaust gas by forming the partition wall near the opening end of a bottomed cylindrical body having multiple fine pores communicating with inside and outside surfaces to an annular thick-walled part and using this as a suspension support part.
CONSTITUTION: This is formed by a bottomed cylindrical body 1 which comprises bonding refractory particles (silica sand, ground ceramics, Al2O3, etc.) 6 by refractory binders (water glass, frit, etc.) 7 and has multiple fine pores 8 communicating with inside and outside surfaces. The partition wall 3a near its opening end 2 is made to an annular thick-walled part 4 thicker than the partition wall 3b of the other portions and this is used as a suspension support part, whereby the high-temperature ceramic filter for capturing and removing the smoke dust and the like contained in high-temperature combustion gas is formed. Here, the thickness of the thick-walled partition wall 3a is made about 1.2 times (preferably 1.5W2.5 times) the wall thickness of the other partition walls 3b.
