Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the construction, and reduce the dimensions, of a speedmeter generator, by utilizing magnetic flux from both N-poles and S-poles of a source of magnetomotive force, which is provided for driving a motor, so as to detect the speed.
CONSTITUTION: A magnet 1 mounted on a soft magnetic disc 2 is provided in the inner circumferential surface thereof with recesses of a pitch γ. A soft magnetic ring 3 constituting a stator has on the whole of its outer circumferential surface projections of the same pitch γ which ar opposed to the recesses and projections of in the inner circumferential surface of the magnet 1. The phases of projections on and recesses in the opposite surfaces of the magnetic ring 3 and magnet 1 are set opposite to each other with respect to the magnetized N-poles and S-poles so as to drive a motor. The magnetic flux density of the magnetic ring 3 as a whole has a positive value or a negative value depending upon the projections on and recesses in the magnet 1 which are now opposed to the projections on the magnetic ring 3. Accordingly, when a rotor is rotated, the density of magnetic flux passed through the magnetic ring 3 is changed to have positive and negative values to generate an AC electromotive force in a detection coil 5. The frequency of this voltage is in proportion to the number of revolutions of the rotor. This structure works as a speedmeter generator.
