Abstract
PURPOSE:To avoid the muting state from being kept longer, by the shift to separate tuning mode automatically, if the reception signal is weak and automatic tuning control is made impossible. CONSTITUTION:If the S-curve signal is weak under AFC control at the preset tuning, a given number of counts is made to up or down direction with the window comparator 20. In this case, if the S-curve signal is not detected, the preset voltage is returned to original state to continue the reception. If the S-curve signal is weak at automatic tuning, the detection circuit 17 selects the count speed selection circuit 19 to high speed position to receive the neighbouring signal instantly. Further, at automatic channel selection, the shortening of the channel selection time by the low speed search is possible and the absence of sound can be prevented with looping operation following to the S-curve signal at preset channel selection.
