Abstract

PURPOSE: To make the degradation of image quality obsolete and make possible the freedom from maintenance by providing an elastic material scraper plate in the direction opposite from the moving direction of a developer support means and in contact with the surface of the support means.
CONSTITUTION: A scraper plate 5 which is fixed by means of a support member 6 in the direction opposite from the turning direction of a sleeve through utilization of its elasticity is so disposed as to position in a hopper 3 and exist in the front position of a thickness defining plate 7. This scraper plate 5 is provided with multiple window holes to permit falling of the scraped toner into the hopper and its reuse. Thereby, the toner particles having firmly stuck on the sleeve 2 may be forcefully removed and the supply of the toner having become larger in grain size to development is obviated, thus the degradation in image quality may be prevented.
