Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a transistor motor which can be driven with a low torque ripple, by applying a voltage proportional to a magnetic flux density to two-phase portions of three-phase armature windings, whereby a sine wave current, which is restricted by a winding resistance, flows to the windings. CONSTITUTION:Input voltages at both ends of Hall elements alpha, beta are divided by resistors (r), (r), (r/2), and an average value thereof is applied as a positive-phase input to an operational amplifier P3 to thereby control a common emitter potential Vc of transistors Q5, Q6. Outputs from the Hall elements alpha, beta are received as differential inputs by operational amplifiers P1, P2 to thereby control common emitter potentials Vu, Vv of transistors Q1, Q2 and Q3, Q4. A voltage applied to windings is a sine wave voltage which is proportional as it is to output voltages of the Hall elements. The electric current flowing in the windings is a sine wave current of a value obtained by dividing the difference between the voltage applied to the winding and a speed electromotive force of a sine wave by a winding resistance. Therefore, an output torque represented by a product of a magnetic flux density and the electric current flowing in the windings has a constant value irrespective of the rotational position of the electric motor.
