Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a long life toner for heat fixing type developing having resistance to pulverization of toner particles, by incorporating a diolefin type rubberlike substance with a magnetic toner formed by dispersing a magnetic material into a thermoplastic resin.
CONSTITUTION: (a) Theremoplastic resin (preferably a stayrene type polymer or copolymer having a softening point of 60W200°C, a glass transition temperature of 30W150°C, and a weight average polymerization degree/number average polymerization degree ratio of 3.5W4), (b) a magnetic material, and (c) a diolefin type rubberlike substance (e.g., the copolymer of diolefins containing a diolefin component such as butadiene by 2W40%) are mixed to give a toner. It is desirable that the content of magnetic mateial (b) is 40W70wt% and the content of diolefin type rubberlike substance (c) is 2W20wt%.
