Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce a big thrust for causing an initial move by floatingly fitting a cup-shaped free cylinder within the primary room partitioned with a main piston in a master cylinder, and installing in the interior of the above free cylinder a sub-piston linked to the main piston through a rod.
CONSTITUTION: When both of a main and sub-piston 5, 12 are in positions of their backward movements, if a pressurized fluid is supplied to a flow path 16, the fluid is distributed to ports 13 and 14, and each of the pistons 5, 12 is pushed on at the same time. That is, the piston 5 is slidably moved along a master cylinder 1 and the sub-piston 12 along an internal room 10 of a free cylinder 7. Accordingly, a piston rod 4 can be thrusted by the sum of thrust applied to each of the pistons 5, 12. After the sub-piston 12 has reached an end wall 9, the pistons 5, 12 and the free cylinder 7 will be forwarded as an integral unit in a similar manner as in a single piston. When these pistons has advanced to the forward end the fluid will be supplied from a port 17 and the both pistons 5, 12 will be moved backward.
