The stepped shaft 1 is supported by the support bench 5 and rotates and the respective axes 1a and 1b are simultaneously centerlessly formed and grinded by the respective axes 3a and 3b of the grinding wheel 3. In this case, the large diameter section 1b of the stepped shaft 1 has a small frictional force between it and the axis 2b of the adjusting wheel, it slides.
