Abstract
PURPOSE:To regulate the outlet temperature of the primary fluid by means of control valves provided in respective pipe lines following a plurality of primary fluid outlet nozzles which are provided at portions downstream and upstream of the flow of the primary fluid. CONSTITUTION:When heat exhange tubes of an intermediate heat exchanger 2 was plugged by numbers equivalent to increment thereof, a control valve 12 is closed and control valve 13 of a primary fluid outlet nozzle 43' downstream of the primary fluid is opened. Consequently, the course of heat exchange of the primary fluid is elonagated by a distance L between the upstream outlet nozzle 43 and the downstream nozzle 43', accordingly, the outlet temperature of the primary fluid falls proportionally below the rated temperature, for example, of 300 deg.C. Therefore, natually the inlet temperature of a heat exchanger 2 lowers and, as a characteristic of the circulating machine 5, the circulation flow rate of the primary fluid lowers, eventually reducting the cooling capacity of the heat exchanger 2 in proportion. With such an arrangement, in relation to reduction in the number of heat exchanger tubes of the heat exchanger 2, the outlet temperature on the secondary side can be invariably maintained at a rated temperature of 930 deg.C.
