Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce the narcissus effect, by providing a beam splitter between a scanner and an infrared detector, and applying infrared flux of specified quantity to the detector. CONSTITUTION:Infrared flux of specified quantity from a heat source 13 by a heat source controller 15 is reflected by a beam splitter 11 provided between a scanner 6 and a detector 8, and is further reflected by a telescopic system 2. This reflected infrared flux transmits through the beam splitter 11 and enters the detector 8 together with the infrared ray being detected. Thus is reduced the narcissus effect due to infrared ray radiated from the detector low in temperature, thereby enabling excellent infrared image pickup through the detector 8.
