Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a wide reference light easily, by installing a half mirror and a light polarizer between an infrared ray detecting element and a heating element whose temperature can be controlled, and by mixing radiated infrared rays of the detector itself and radiated infrared rays of the heating element above. CONSTITUTION:In case that the temperature of a reference light source is not measured, light polarizer, for example, total reflection mirror 5 is moved to position 5', where light path (a) is not shielded, to lead radiated rays from the observation object existing on the same path (a), and these rays are condensed to detect infrared rays of the object. Next, in case that the reference temperature is measured by detecting element 1, total reflection mirror 5 is moved onto light path (a), and the light path of infrared rays incident onto the detecting element is switched to (b). The sum of the quality of infrared rays, which are radiated from controllable heating element 6 and pass through half mirror 4, and the quantity of rays, which are radiated from detecting element 1 cooled in cooler A and are reflected by half mirror, is led to detecting element 1 and is measured as the reference temperature.
