Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable static transfer a one component type toner image and to facilitate preparation, by adding a specified porous carbon black to a binder resin.
CONSTITUTION: A porous carbon black having a surface area of 850 m2/g or more, preferably 900W1200 m2/g by the nitrogen absorption method and a DBP absorption capacity of 280 ml/g or more, preferably 300W400 ml/g is mixed and dispersed in a binder resin together with ferromagnetic particles in an amount of 3W30 wt. pts., preferably 4W10 wt. pts. per 100 wt. pts. of binder to compose a toner. This toner has preferably a conductivity of 10-4W10-7(ohm.cm)-1, and an absolute value of surface potential of a toner layer on a sleeve surface is preferably above 20 V, and development and static transfer are effected by using triboelectricity of the toner itself and induced charge caused by the conductivity of the toner.
