Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the mechanical strength of the insulating layer by coating an aquaous suspension containing mica and a resin before solidification and having on an electric conductor by electrophoresis painting.
CONSTITUTION: An aquaous suspension paint prepared by dispersing a B-stage resin before solidification and with a melting temperature of 50 to 120°C and mica such that the solid content is 5 to 30 weight % is coated on an electric conductor by electrophoresis painging. At this time, the content of the resin in the B stage is preferably 30 to 70 weight % of the solid content, and the average grain size of the resin is preferably no greater than 50μ. The grain size of mica used is preferably no greater than 35 mesh size.
