Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the subject device wherein strip shaped paper sheets in the marginal zone cut off from the continuous form are finely cut into a chip shape by a bursting device, whereby the disposal of strip-shaped paper sheets in the marginal zone to be cast away is amoothly carried out.
CONSTITUTION: A bursting device 38 is provided at its inlet side with a set of low-speed rotating rollers 76 and at its outlet side with a set of high-speed rotating rollers 77, these rollers being provided in opposed relationship. The leading end of the strip-shaped paper sheet in the marginal zone sent into the bursting device reaches a high-speed side rotating rollers 78 and held therebetween, a tensile force is applied to the strip-shaped paper sheet by the difference between the rotational quantities of the high-speed side rotating rollers 78 and the low-speed side rotating rollers 77, and the paper sheet is cut along the stitches of the bursting machine. Fine pieces cut into chip-shape are discharged through the high-speed rotating rollers 77 into a disposing box 75 wherein said fine pieces are stored. Since the paper sheet in the marginal zone is finely cut, it is not bulky so that it can be disposed easily.
