Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable uniform dehydration efficiency and mass treatement of water containing substance by a mechanism wherein a filter cloth belt inclined upwardly and a vacuum means and a press means are equipped.
CONSTITUTION: A water containing substance is thrown onto an endless filter cloth belt by a hopper 9. The filter cloth belt 7 is provided in an upward inclined condition at an initial suction portion 12 and the dehydration is effectively carried out by gravity and at the same time by a first vacuum means 4. In post suction portion 13, a press means for water containing substance comprising a pair of rolls 6, 6' and a press belt 15 wound around said rolls is provided to cover the cracks formed on the surface of water containing substance and prevent the lowering of the vacuum degree through said cracks and the dehydration efficiency is enhanced and the dehydration is also carried out by a second vacuum means. A press roll 8 is provided on a drive roll 1, the filter cloth is easily cleaned by transfering water containing substance from the filter cloth to said roll 8 and pollution of said filter cloth is prevented.
