Abstract

PURPOSE: To let photo scanning be performed so as to draw the same locus irrespective of the inclination of a revolving shaft by using a cylindrical recording face which has a space frequency gradient and a diffracting grating parallel to the revolving shaft direction and a cylindrical lens which converges only in the revolving shaft direction.
CONSTITUTION: A primary grating having a grade of a suitable space frequency fs on a cylindrical transparent body surface 20 is formed in the direction parallel to the revolving shaft 30 of the cylinder. In the case of reconstruction, reconstruction light 26 is entered through a cylindrical lens 24 to a hologram piece 28, and the angle assumed by the recording face 29 and reconstruction light 26 is made the same value as the angle assumed by the recording face 20 and reference light. If scanning is performed in the direction 29 by scanning light 25, the loci of scanning become of the direction Y parallel to the revolving shaft 30 even if any dynamic fluctuation occurs in the hologram recording face 20.
