Abstract

PURPOSE: To obviate changing of respective output beams depending upon other signals, etc. by generating a compensating beam other than output beams and controlling the intensity of the compensating beam so that the non-diffracted light intensity from an ultrasonic light deflecting element becomes of a specified value.
CONSTITUTION: This is the device of splitting one input beam 3 to a plurality of output beam 4 by using one ultrasonic light deflecting element 1 and modifying the intensity of the respective output beams 4, wherein a correcting output beam 4-S is outputted other than said necessary output beams 4 and when the intensity of the non-diffracted light 5 decreases and the input to the photo detector 13 of a correcting system 12 decreases, then the intensity of the correcting beam 4-S decreases. Since the intensity of the input beam 3 is constant, the decrease in the intensity of the correcting beam 4-S results in the increase in the intensity of the non-diffracted light 5. If the non-diffracted light intensity is made constant by consitituting such negateive feedback system, the intensities of the respective output beam 4 generated by diffraction are determined only by the amplidudes of the respecive component signals inrrespecive of the presence or not and magnitude of other driving signals.
