Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an efficient refrigeration for the safety operation of a superconductive electromagnet by providing a chamber near the bottom of a container for giving a pipe port to send freezing agent from the bottom of the chamber and another pipe port on the upper part of the chamber to discharge others than the freezing agent to the outside. CONSTITUTION:A container 3 of very low temperature wrapped in a thermal radiation shielding 2 is provided in a vacuum heat-insulating tank 1. Under the container 3, a separator 9 to separate liquid helium, the freezing agent sent by a supply pipe 6, into gas and liquid, and a discharge pipe 10 to discharge the separated gas helium to the outside are provided. A part of a supply port 7 given to the container 3 is prolonged into the liquid helium collected in the separator 9. This construction serves to obtain an efficient refrigeration for the safety operation of a superconductive electromagnet.
