Abstract
PURPOSE: To ensure easy incorporation and maintenance, and to reduce the generation of noises due to vibration, by simplifying a secondary air introducing course.
CONSTITUTION: A valve box 5, which upper portion is opened, is integrally molded at an approx. central location of an upper portion of a horizontal cylinder block 1, a cover 6 is covered on the valve box 5 and a secondary air suction valve 7 is encased and installed to these insides. A path 17 for introducing secondary air, which is communicated with the valve box 5 and horizontally extends toward a cylinder head 3, and similar paths 19, 20 for introducing secondary air, which are branched in a trifurcated form from the path 17, extend while suitably bending to end portions in the front and rear directions of the cylinder block 1 and open to a right end surface 18, are communicated in an integral molded shape at a more upper position of a water jacket 16 upper than a cylinder bore 15 in the interior of the cylinder block 1.
