Abstract

PURPOSE: To automatically control the coolant flow rate and also integrate into one container the functions of a decompression device and a coolant adjust tank by arranging to set a coolant flow rate control container which is devided by the materials having many fine holes.
CONSTITUTION: The coolant flows in the direction shown by solid line arrows at time of cooling operation, and the coolant at time of heating operation flows in the direction shown by dashed line arrows. In the case of heating operation, the air temperature decrease in an inside heat exchanger 3 promotes the condensation of the coolant, increasing the liquid level in a chamber 24 inside a container 20, and the thus increased amount of the coolant passing through materials 21 ensures the effective performance of an outside heat exchanger 8 even when the load on the outside heat exchanger 8 is large. Conversely although the load decrease on the outside heat exchanger 8 increases the flow back into an accumulator 9, the increase of passing resistance caused by gas due to the liquid level decrease in the chamber 24 is to decrease the amount of liquid passing through the materials 21, thus preventing the flow back into the compressor 1.
