Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent generation of cold gdraft with a constant flow rate at time of light loading by attaching an electric heater to a heat detecting drum of an automatic expansion valve in order to contrtol to decrease the heater calorific value through the operation of an electric circuit at time of light loading. CONSTITUTION:During the operation of a refrigerator at a standard loading, thyristor output of an electric circuit is increased to increase the heating capacity of a heater 11; thus, the inner pressure of a heat detecting drum 10 is increased, which then adjusts an expansion valve 4 to have the value where the degree of potential superheat controls the degree of superheat of the outlet coolant in an evaporator 5; therefore, the refrigerating machine is operated with the cooling capacity under the full loading condition. The decrease of cooling loading due to the decrease of outside temperature decreases the calorific value of the heater 11 to decrease the inner pressure of the heat detecting drum 10, thus the expansion valve 4 being operated to close. Consequently, the degree of superheat of the outlet coolant in the evaporator 5 increases to cause the decrease in the absorption rate of a compressor 1 and also the decrease in the cooling capacity, thus preventing the source temperature decrease with a constant flow rate.
