Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide the subject device wherein the actual cooling ability of a cooler is detected and indicated, and, when said actual cooling ability thus detected is lower than the set cooling ability, a recovering measure is immediately taken, and, at the same time, is reported.
CONSTITUTION: The device comprises : a temperature difference detector 1 for electrically detecting the temperature difference of a fluid to be cooled between the outlet and the inlet of the cooler thereby to obtain a temperature difference signal ΔT; a flow detector 2 for electrically detecting a flow of cooling water passing through the cooler thereby to obtain a flow signal Q; and a multiplication computer 3 for obtaining the actual cooling ability of the cooler on the basis of the quantities of electricity of both signals ΔT and Q. The device further comprises a comparison computer 8 for comparing a signal G1 of the quantity of electricity corresponding to the actual cooling ability obtained from a detection system (a) with a signal G2 of the quantity of electricity corresponding to the set cooling ability, supplied as input separately from said signal G1, and producing an output signal only when the signal G1 is smaller than the signal G2; a controller 10 for recovering the actual cooling ability ; and an annunciator 11 of said controller 10.
