Abstract

PURPOSE: To shift a fluid transmission speed by means that a step pressure conversion valve converts into hysteresis pressure an indication pressure applied on fluid-speed transmission pressure conversion valve.
CONSTITUTION: From a pressure converter not illustrated, a pressure P in proportion with the rotation frequency of a torque converter, regulating an output pressure Pt, is sent to a control unit 8. With an output frequency rising over a specific value, the pressure P reduces said pressure Pt and the control unit 8 operates a clutch directly connected with the torque converter. The control unit 8 consists of a pressure regulation valve 12 which operates the clutch on said pressure P, and a step pressure conversion valve 13 which converts said pressure P into stepped pressure. The pressure conversion valve 13 contains a pilot valve 24 and a main valve 23 which supplied the pressure regulation valve 12 with the stepped pressure.
