Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent the jumping of motor current, by detecting that the ratio of the motor current to a limited current level falls to a predetermined value after the turn- on ratio of chopper has reached the maximum value and by reducing the field excitation of the motor.
CONSTITUTION: The motor current, which is controlld by a current pattern instruction applied from a load responsible unit 17, can be varied by the turn-on ratio of the chopper 14. When the turn-on ratio has reached the miximum value, it is maintained at this value. Then, the motor current decreases on a characteristic curve. When the motor current has reached a predetermined ratio to the limited current level, a low field excitation switch 11 is turned on by a central processor 20 made of a multiplexer. Therefore, the drop in the motor current can be reduced.
