Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a multiple effect desalinator in which water produced by each effect and preheater is let to flow to an effect and preheater adjacent to the lower temp. side through outside conduits so as to avoid inflow of the water to the heat transfer tube of each effect and to ennance the transfer rate of heat of condensation.
CONSTITUTION: Part of raw water discharged from the heat transfer tube of final condenser (m) is supplied to first preheater (g), second preheater (h) and prehaeters (i),(j),(l) in succession to be preheated, and the preheated water is sprinkled 25 all over a bundle of heat transfer tubes 39 of first effect (a). Part of steam free from droplets generated in effect (a) is supplied to preheater (l), and most of the remainder to second effect (b) as steam for heating. This steam is supplied to the inside of a bundle of heat transfer tubes 48, and droplets contained in steam generated from the outsides of the tubes are removed. Part of the droplets free steam is supplied to preheater (k), and most of the remainder to third effect (c). Unevaporated conc. raw water passed through 4th effect (d), 5th effect (e) and 6th effect (f) in a rimilar way is discharged 37 through conduit 36 and pump 4, and condensed water gathered in efect (f) through each effect is supplied to condenser (m)
