Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of measurement and make possible accurate remeasuremnt after various processing by performing sealing of the sample outside face part applied at the time of measuring the gas permeability of porous substances by mounting a sealing elastic tube on the outside face part and pressing and contacting the same above the gas pressure for measurement. CONSTITUTION:A sample 2 and a holding cylindrical spacer 31 are contained in the central part of an elastic tube 33 which is sufficiently longer than a sample outer tube holder 30 and this is inserted into a holder 30. The portions of the elastic tube 33 extruding from both ends of the holder 30 are folded back to the outside of the holder 30, and are installed between a holder lock flange 12 and a mounting base 32 and are fastened by means of bolts 13 and O-rings 29, whereby the leak- free channel F is formed. In measurement, a pressure above the primary side pressure of the measuring gas pressure is applied to the elastic tube 33 through the inlet port 34 to tighten the sample 2 and spacer 31, whereby the bypass leakage of the measuring gas passing through the channel F is prevented.
