Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a field control method of a DC motor that can safely maintain an elevator when service interruption while allowing the safe travelling of the elevator even if a brake is in a trouble when the elevator is in a stop condition.
CONSTITUTION: This controller of a DC elevator is arranged in such manner that field current flowing through a field winding 2 detected at a current detector 5 by means of a phase shifter 12 and a reference command signal ic are compared, and pulse signals sent in response to the difference are applied to a thyristor rectifying circuit 11 through diodes 13, 14, etc., thus the output current of the rectifying circuit 11 is controlled, then the field current of an exciter 4 flowing through a field winding 8 is controlled. In this case, a parallel circuit of a resistance 22 and a contact piece 231a opening when a terminal emergency deceleration relay 23 is in OFF is connected between said exciter 4 and the motor field winding 2, thus resulting in a fixed low speed of cage speed in case of the self-excitation of the exciter 4 when service interruption.
