Abstract
PURPOSE:To lessen the impact abosrbing stroke without increasing the maximum load by filling solid impact absorbing material, applying a preload smaller than a discharge limit load. CONSTITUTION:Silicone rubber 40 is, after injected into a mold, heated and hardened, and formed to be constituted of a cylinder part 41 and a circular truncated cone part 42. The total length is formed in Li+deltaL. The silicone rubber 40 is loaded inside a lower tube 52, and kept at a compressed state to the length Li by a bracket 54. When an abnormal impact is applied onto an upper shaft 51, a shear pin 53 is broken, and the upper shaft 51 pressurizes the silicone rubber 40, and then, a stopper 56 is broken, and silcone rubber flows out from an orifice 55. As a preload is applied onto the silicone rubber 40, an impact absorbing stroke can be lessened than by the former apparatus.
