Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the defect that good picture quality cannot be obtained in an image forming method wherein photoconductive material is used as a photosensitive member by using semitransparent particles which have spectral functions and developing functions and make irregular reflection of light.
CONSTITUTION: Resin having transparency as a granulating agent, light irregular reflecting agent such as TiO2, dyes having spectral characteristics and developers of colors corresponding to their spectral functions are combined, whereby focusless light transmittable particles 5 are obtained. A photoreceptor 3 provided with a photosensitive layer 2 containing photoconductive material on a conductive base 1 is charged with a corona charger 4 and the particles 5 sprayed with a particle sprayer 6 are evenly electrostatically deposited on the surface. Next, the particles 5 are image-exposed through transparent original 7 and the charges on the layer 2 corresponding to the exposed parts are light-attenuated by the light having transmitted the ough the particles 5, whereby the electrostatic attraction between the particles 5 and the layer 2 is weakened. Only the particles 5' of the exposed partsare fallen by a vibrator 8 from the turned back photoreceptor 3 and only the remained particles 5" are developed, whereby the positive particle images are obtained
