Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce cost of treatment of industrial waste and domestic waste by spraying pulverized residue of solid waste after dry combustion into waste gas flowing through a high temperature flue from an incinerator so as to be brought into contact reaction with noxious-gases before collection of the waste by a dust collector.
CONSTITUTION: A solid waste 1 is burned in an incinerator 2 and fed to a dry type ash removing apparatus 3 to remove ash. The resulting residue is fed to a classifier 4. The residue passing through the sieve is carried by a conveyor 5a to a magnetic selector 6a to remove small pieces of iron. The residue thus free of iron is pulverized by a grider 7 and stored into a hopper 8. Other inexpensive absorbent 9 is stored into a storage bunker 10 to replenish the hopper 8. The absorbent in the hopper 8 is drawn by an air blower 12 into a pressure pipe 13 and sprayed into a high temperature gas of 700 to 100°C flowing through a flue 15 at the entrance of a gas cooling apparatus 16. The reaction of the absorbent with noxious-gas such as SOx and HCl is completed within 2 seconds. The waste gas is cooled by the apparatus 16 to 250 to 300°C and fed to an electric dust collector 17 to remove dust. The waste gas thus dust-removed is discharged out through an air blower 18 and a chimney 19. The dust thus removed is treated with a stabilization/solidification apparatus 20 to prevent heavy metals contained therein with asphalt and the like from melting
