Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatically supply a liquid refrigerant with a simple constitution by starting the supply of the liquid refrigerant when a liquid refrigerant level sensor detected the lower limit of the level and stopping the supply of the liquid refrigerant when the sensor detected the upper limit of the level. CONSTITUTION:Liquid nitrogen 2 is injected into a cold trap 6 through a siphon 3 as the pressure in a container 1 rises by the heating with a heater 4. When the cold trap 6 is filled with liquid nitrogen 2, a temperature sensor 9 and a meter relay 11 cause a relay circuit corresponding to an upper limit setting indicator 13 to be switched to an H-contact so that the heater 4 and an electromagnetic valve 5 are cut off, thus stopping the supply of liquid nitrogen into the cold trap 6. When an indicating needle 14 reached the level of a lower limit setting indicator 12 as liquid nitrogen evaporates with the lapse of time, the container 1 starts again supplying liquid nitrogen 2 into the cold trap 6.
