Abstract
PURPOSE:To manufacture a heat-shrinkable tube with a little shrinkage in the long direction, by extruding a cylindrical mold around a continuous cylindrical material made of a thermal-recovery material, by expanding the heated material with a hydraulic pressure applied to the interior of the material, and by cooling and solidifying. CONSTITUTION:The continuous cylindrical material 1, which is made of a thermal- recovery material, with one end closed is fed from the supply device 2, to the cylindrical molding device 6 via the guide rolls 3, 4, and 5. The cylindrical mode 7 having the inside diameter larger than the outside diameter of the material 1 is extruded continuously around the material 1 almost coaxially to heat and expand the material 1 to the inside wall of the mold 7 by the hydraulic pressure using a compressor at the other end. The material 1 and the mold 7 under the hydraulic pressure are fed to the water tank 14 via the guide rolls 12 and 13, cooled and solidified. The mold is cut continuously along the length from the side and removed, thus out the heat- shrinkable tube 15.
