Abstract

PURPOSE:To automatic penetrating flaw detection operations by combining inspecting-object coating liqud injection nozzles, an inspecting-object rubbing liquid-absorbent elastic body and a liquid-absorbent elastic body cleaning squeezing mechanism. CONSTITUTION:A liquid-absorbent elastic body 2 for rubbing of the inspecting object composed of rubber-made sponge, syntyetic-resin-made sponge or the like is installed to a reinforcing plate 1 which can travel along a rail 4 an approximatly S shape. Inspecting-object coating liquid injection nozzles 14 and cleaning liquid injection nozzles 15 are provided above the rail 4, and a liquid-absorbent elastic body cleaning and squeezing mechanism consisting of a metal screen 7 and a eceiving tray 8 s elevatably provided below the cleaning liquid injection nozzles 15. Then the liquid-absorbent elastic body 2 is subjected to injection and squeezing-out of cleaning liquid to rub off and clean away the grease and contamination of the in specting object while repeating advancing, descending, retre ating and ascending, after which it is subsequently injected with penetrant and developer and subsequently rubs and coates these on the surface of the inspecting object, thus causing its defect parts to be displayed.
