Abstract

PURPOSE: To maintain the rate of denitrification of coke oven exhaust gas at a constant level, by controlling the feeding rate of a reducing agent according to the concentration of O2, CO or CO2 in the exhaust gas.
CONSTITUTION: Exhast gas of a coke oven A is sucked from a gas line 1 to a branched line 2 with a suction blower D. The concentration of O2, CO, CO2 or SOx is determined by an O2 analyzer J, etc., and a program-setting device H is actuated by the signal transmitted from the analyzer J. The signal from the program-setting device H controls the control valve which is connected to an NH3 flow meter q2. The exhaust gas is mixed with the NH3 supplied from a line 4, introduced into a denitrifier F, and, after denitrification, exhausted through a branch 3 and a stack B into the atmosphere. A part of the denitrified exhaust gas is recycled to the branch 2.
